There is a great short story by Clive Barker about hands trying to escape by cutting each other off: “The Body Politic.” They even converse between left and right just as in the strip.

@Herb: Hah, well I figured most, if not everyone, would get that pun even without a superfluous “k”.

@knas: It will surely appear if I for some reason make more dismemberment strips. :) That said, I contemplated going with the “suicide” tag for this strip, but technically not even the “someone dies” tag is entirely fitting.
