Sick Day
Aw. But don’t worry. He’ll be feeling much better when they inevitably return next week.

Haha! I love it.
Nicely done, weaving together all the classic lines and stupidity. I especially like the line regarding the basement. Can’t remember the title of the movie, but I actually heard this line to great hilarity: “I gotta go down in the basement and get some STUFF!”. He died.

@tm0rk: the movies was friday the 13th, and after some movies, they changed to jason. as in jason voorhees.

I especially like the saddest-ever goalie mask.

@tm0rk: Hah yeah, I remember you’ve mentioned that line before, and I contemplated adding it exactly like that, but figured it was too stupid even for a parody. Nevertheless, it’s an hilarious line – would love to find out which movie it’s from.
@bachterman: Oh, I think tm0rk is well aware of the Friday the 13th series. The title we’re looking for is the one with the basement line.
@Xoinx: That made me giggle a bit, as well as the thermometer wedged through the mask hole.

This is my favourite of yours in a long while.
I hate to nitpick, but wouldn’t “into smaller groups” be correct grammar in the second panel?

No one dies!
I don’t know if it will matter after the next update, but the link to these comments lead to the “National Sick Day” comments, and not to the “Sick Day” comments.

@tm0rk: Looks like an epic classic! With superstars like Stacy Keach and Billy Dee Williams how can they go wrong?
@Esn: Ah, I think you’re right about that. Fixed now! Thanks for the heads up!
@Gillsing: Hm, I should make a sequel where everyone dies! Which means poor Jason has to work overtime.
And yeah, I’ve noticed the comment link thing before. I’m not sure, but I think it’s a Wordpress or Comicpress bug. I’ll look into if there’s a quick fix somewhere.
