Until I read the comics, I assumed that the "CRime Scene Killer" was a guy who went to crime scenes and murdered people there. Carefully lining them up with the preexisting chalk marks. (So of course, the police put up warning tape around the original warning tape.) I didn't even realize that the fine print was intended to be read. Ah. I found the initial idea quite hilarious but it was a bit of a struggle to cram it into four frames in the best manner. Glad to see that it worked (for the most part, at least.) I guess there's a little bit of confusion (I'm probably the most confused), but psydei got the right idea - the barrier tape they're going under in the first panel is the real crime scene, while the one in front of the detective in the second panel is the fake one. @speearr: Thank ye.
