Thanks for your comments, gang! Very interesting to see which one you preferred, but in the end Busalonium (and Esn) nails why I felt the need to make the second version. I especially agree about the flow, since I feel this one has a much better “rhythm” to it, and isn’t quite as convoluted as the previous one. I also prefer how the duality of the “knows too much” phrase has more weight here. I guess this goes to show I should let ideas digest for a while before putting them into fruition. In fact, if I had let this one simmer a bit longer, I’d probably end up on this version, and the first one would never see the light of day. :)

As for making a series of these – probably not, as I can’t really come up with any more versions. :) However, I really liked drawing the mafia guys, so hopefully they’ll make another appearance.

I prefer this version. The last one had too much explaining within the comic, like putting the angry mafia boss in at the end; that just clutters the comic. This just seems to flow more naturally and doesn’t need extra information added since the reader can easily follow that the mafia guys are playing glasses guy in trivial pursuit.

I like this one a lot better, too. It’s more ridiculous. In the gameshow one, he was winning a lot of money, so they did have a believable reason to take him out. In this one, it’s just a boardgame, so it’s completely silly.

Somehow, the first one makes more sense in the context of the gangsters’ intentions. I mean, who would want to have someone whacked over Trivial Pursuit? A game like Jeopardy, however… it has echoes of Slumdog Millionaire.

Although I suppose TP is so — *ahem* — trivial to kill someone over, it makes it even sillier.

I like this one as well, but the first was my favourite! The eagerness is just more obvious and the mafia guy on the right really completes the picture. The last panel in the other one is so full of information, it’s brilliant!
