Oops, sorry for spoiling Finding Dory for you. Also, just a quick PSA: I’ve noticed, as have all other site admins probably, that ad revenue has dropped dramatically in recent months. Part of it might be because of the rise of AdBlock – which is an awesome invention, but not all that cool for a […]

Adorable! I would totally adopt one of these things, but I’m not entirely sure they’d be allowed in my apartment building. Edit, March 18: Work & life stuff got the better of me, so no new comic today. New comics will appear next week, and all through Easter!
Happy Valentine’s Day (on Sunday)! Also, the comments are back! Hopefully. A misbehaving plugin prevented you from leaving comments on the last few comics, but this should be fixed now. Oof, this one took me several aeons to make. Oh, If you want to support my habit of sometimes making these bigger comics, be the best reader you can be and please consider contributing to my Patreon page. Thanks!
During my extensive research I discovered that these things are apparently NOT called Lanternfish. Instead it’s Anglerfish, and Lanternfish is an entirely different species. Missed opportunity, fish scientists!
Here is a comic strip to celebrate that Optipess now is 5 years old! Huge thanks to everyone who have visited the site over these past few years, I probably wouldn’t have stuck with this for so long if it weren’t for you guys. Here’s to 5 more! (Hopefully.) As a birthday gift, it would […]
Here’s a new comic strip for your scrolling pleasures! I actually planned for this one to be way more educational, displaying a proper sea food chain, but I quickly dismissed that idea. No Great Old Ones appeared on any of the charts I found anyway.
