This comic strip is best consumed along with some horrible canned food on the side. Also, here’s some news tidbits: 1.) It’s vacation time over here at Optipess Studios – so I will be taking a bit of a break over the next few weeks. Fear not, I plan to return to the regular schedule [...]
Behold! It’s a Cthulhu comic I made a while back! Observant readers will recognize this as the one that ran in the August issue of Le Monde diplomatique. It was also the “secret” project I’ve hinted at a few times earlier. It took me a while to make & I hope you like it! This [...]
Phew, here’s a new comic strip. Sorry for the missed update last week! Unfortunately I might have to miss a couple more updates in the coming week(s) as well. I’ve finished a mysterious newspaper project (more about that later), but I’ll also be busy being the best man in an upcoming wedding(!). However, things will [...]
Edit, Jan 16th 2013: You can now purchase a print of this comic over at Society6! Click the link and you will be taken there, as if by magic! Aww, I guess even Great Old Ones can get bored of the eternal waiting period before they can rule the world. And yes, they have Playmobil [...]
Ah, here’s a summery comic, just for you! I think this one was inspired by the classic Amiga/PC game Populous, actually (…and definitely not the Madonna movie.)
Introducing the ‘cthulhu’ tag! I may have another strip in the pipeline featuring everyones favorite Great Old One, although it will probably be saved for a certain upcoming international prank day. (Also, I saw the modern silent film The Call of Cthulhu as “research” for this strip. Highly recommended for any Lovecraft fan.)
Oh hey, here’s a comic strip! Observant readers will notice that this is a “remake” of some sort of this strip from last year. Basically I wanted to update that one with the “new” technique I used for the more recent strips “Bad Girl” and “Horror of the Sea”. And with some free time over [...]
Voila, another one of these woodcut attempts! This one makes me want to buy a bathtub and cram it into my apartment somewhere – probably the living room. Either there or on my balcony.
I had a lot of fun drawing this one, I hope you like it! This was my third attempt at making a strip in this engraved “woodcut” style, and I’m definitely the most pleased with this one. You can check out my previous attempts here and here.
Another reminder: If you found this comic even remotely amusing, you can click ‘yes’ on this strip and a few other Optipess strips over at Is It Funny Today, which in turn probably exposes them to more people. Consequently, together we could potentially make enough people happy to ensure world peace! Clickyclicky!
