Retro Comic: The End
Here you go, another retro comic from the depths of the Optipess archives. This one was one of the very first strips I made back in 2007, and I dug it up figuring it would contain a shred of entertainment value even now. My rediscovered essays from grade school, on the other hand, still surely don’t.

I actually rather like this one. Definitely more than a “shred” of entertainment value. This reminds me fondly of the stories I wrote in elementary school, although my dinosaur and alien stories never mixed. Are there many more “retro comics” you have yet to put up on the website?

Thanks! I still like this one as well, but I didn’t post it earlier because I couldn’t quite get the line in the last panel to work. If I were to re-do some of these old ones at one point (not very likely) I’d try to get rid of the text altogether. Anyway, I rearranged the words before posting it now so it sounds a little bit better at least.
But yeah, I have some more of these old ones still lying around, and while I may not post all of them to the site for various reasons, I’m kinda planning an alternate way to get them out there. Stay tuned!

Hah, scary to think that my readers might have a hive mind…
But actually, since I had a rather Cable TV deprived childhood I never saw Dino Riders, although I of course went through an obligatory phase of obsessing about dinosaurs. I’m just not entirely sure it ever ended.
Btw, Jackson – I dig your blog, adding it to my RSS reader now!

I remember Dino Riders. My sister tried to sell of my Dino Riders VHS, so I totally biyotch slapped her. I was not amused. >:( (/me Does not condone sibling abuse… no wait, yeah he does!)

Thanks, Kristian! I’m glad you dig my blog.
I never had cable TV either. My Dino Riders experience was mediated entirely through tiny plastic action figures.

[...] The first 15 Optipess comics were made within a few weeks of spring 2007 to meet the deadline to a comic strip contest run by Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet. Of these, only five has been posted on this site; Amazing Superpowers, Bomb Threats, An Epiphany, Stopwatch and The End. [...]
