Don’t worry – Socrates made it out the building, and is currently living happily with a wife and three children. (Oh, and the blue sock is named Napoleon, at least so he seems to think.)
@Herb: Hah, well I figured most, if not everyone, would get that pun even without a superfluous “k”.
@knas: It will surely appear if I for some reason make more dismemberment strips. :) That said, I contemplated going with the “suicide” tag for this strip, but technically not even the “someone dies” tag is entirely fitting.
There is a great short story by Clive Barker about hands trying to escape by cutting each other off: “The Body Politic.” They even converse between left and right just as in the strip.
Even the socks look insane!
Dude, you did that too? I miss my left hand. :(
oh my effing god! :shock:
Nice title for today’s trip, hehe.
I did that to both my hands :(
Did anyone here ever read The Parking Lot is Full. This could well be a tribute to their disturbing sock puppet strips.
Thanks for your comments, gang!
@Joenis, Teddy: Yeah, me too – I’m typing this with my feet now.
@Kim: Indeed! High fives to anyone who recognizes that song lyric tidbit.
@DevilDan: Absolutely! Actually I skimmed through their archive again before making this strip to make sure they hadn’t done a joke like this already.
Feet! that’s Brilliant! Up until now I could only type while excited!!
Wasted a perfectly good pun: Sockrates
Awesome :D, need new tag, someone loses an arm!
This one is pure gold, Kristian.

@charles: Thanks!
@Teddy: Oh, dear… :P
