Indeed! At the moment I can comfortably win with most squads on normal, but I haven’t tried at the hardest difficulty yet. It is definitely an easier game than FTL, although it really kicked my ass for the first few runs.

While doing my own taxes, I once opened a comic and ended up playing Into the Breach instead, so the strip’s cause-and-effect felt painfully accurate: one tiny distraction can derail an evening; I prefer using a short four-player trick-taking round as a team reset, because predicting tricks, following trump, and comparing scores gives us a visible check that we are coordinating, with fewer Kraken-sized deadline disasters.
The confession about spending hours on taxes and then getting pulled into Into the Breach felt familiar; even a short break can turn into a different kind of concentration. When I need a game with a clear stopping point, does predicting tricks across a fixed 19-round match make a better reset than opening something with an endless campaign?
