Human Fhtagn!!
Introducing the ‘cthulhu’ tag! I may have another strip in the pipeline featuring everyones favorite Great Old One, although it will probably be saved for a certain upcoming international prank day.
(Also, I saw the modern silent film The Call of Cthulhu as “research” for this strip. Highly recommended for any Lovecraft fan.)
The might Guiwitglacc’c just wants to make friends.
Aww! It’s nice to have a nobody dies strip once in a while. Warms your heart, like.
Might also be time to introduce a “woodcut” tag separate from the “alternate style” one.
I love the art style in this one. Pretty funny, too. :)
Looovly! Love the “silent film” look.
I like the guy coming out of the strip in the third panel.
That one got insane enough to break the 4th wall!
Very nice, it could have been an episode from the 4th dimension! Cthulhu is omnipresent right now, even South Park mentioned it!
Thanks fellas, I’m glad you liked this one. It took me waay too long to draw it, although I find these woodcut things very fun to tinker around with for hours.
@Bailoroc: Hah! I had to do a double take on the name before I got it. Well played!
@Moof: Ah indeed, good call! I’ll go through the archives and retag the other ones now.
I play the roleplaying game Chuthulhu once a week with friends. This strip will be shown at the next event! Perfect!
Truls, that’s awesome! I used to play the CoC RPG several years ago, and I actually dug up the rulebook before making this strip. Really made me want to get back into it again. I also had the epic “Horror on the Orient Express” add-on that I never got around to start properly.
Another good Lovecraftian-themed movie was In The Mouth Of Madness, if you’re looking for those kinds of horror movies.
