Leftovers Disposal
Apparently these Garbage Disposal Units are mostly just used in the U.S., but hopefully everyone else are at least familiar with the concept? Personally I’ve never used one, which is probably for the best.
Also, on another note – I almost pulled this comic as I noticed that the always excellent Buni ran a strip with a very similar premise just this past Monday. Actually I first planned to post this one on the same day but pushed it to today. But yeah, it was purely coincidental. Hopefully they’re different enough! (Just slightly annoying. Oh, and I still have a voice memo on my phone from November 9th (8:19pm) when I first thought of the idea.)
Nice discovering, this Buni comic! Also, good work your strip, as well ;-)
That must be the world’s most dangerous garbage disposal! The blades are flush with the bottom of the sink!
I was surprised to see this because I never had a garbage disposal even in Canada – very cross-cultural of you. :)
Garbage disposals seem to be pretty common in TV-series and movies from USA. Too much potential for drama and comedy to not have them! So I assume that most foreigners with TV would know about them even if they’re uncommon in their own country.
Interesting! I honestly can’t recall ever seeing a garbage disposal being used in a movie or TV show, but that’s probably because they’re so ubiquitous here that we U.S.-ians just don’t notice.
In Canada they are usually called garburators which in my opinion is an awesome word. But they are not incredibly common.
People throw out food like that?!!
I grew up with a garbage disposal.
Always fun to tell your leftover food to say it’s prayers. :P
Your comic is COMPLETELY different to the Buni strip o_o
I didn’t notice the look of relief on the food faces in panel 3 until my second viewing. That made panel 4 all the more horrifying.
