After the song, he warned me that it’s an infectious song that gets stuck in your head easily. I thought I was fine, but as I was driving home that night that song started playing in my head. It played in my head (on and off) for several days.
I recently read through “Homestuck,” a fantastic webcomic @ mspaintadventures.com. There’s a song frequently used in some flash animations, and then BOOM, a capella-version. I don’t mind it being there though, cuz it’s old school and rocks =). oja, link.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoDoHYltcyM
Also a non too spoiler-y Homestuck summary ^^
And for the second time in a few posts! Not sure if anyone noticed, though. Actually the previous time I was linking to the new Godspeed You! Black Emperor album, so perhaps everyone though they sounded just like Rick Astley.
Easy way to avoid having a shitty song in your head is to play a song you like and then cut it off before it’s finished. Apparently the cut-off helps a song get stuck in the first place, as the mind keeps trying to finish the pattern. Or so I read anyway.
Just to let people know the way to get a song unstuck from your head (I hate the jargon “earworm” it makes me think of myiasis) – you have to find a catchy song that you like, which can be used to replace the song you don’t like. My wife sings “What Would Brian Boytano Do?” while I can just hum the Imperial March from ESB. The song you like will filter out of your head because you won’t obsess over it the torture of having it stuck.

That surgeon should’ve secured his ear protection better… Nice take on the “song stuck in your head” theme!
The last earworm I had was this Thomas the Tank Engine VS 50 Cent mashup… It’s very catchy: http://youtu.be/qjVC_jrHcHI
The theme song for Albert (Alfons) Ã…berg is also a very dangerous song…
Mine is “Entrance of the Gladiators” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_B0CyOAO8y0
‘specially the part after 0:12
This…is…the…SONG THAT DOESN’T END!
It just goes on and on, my friend…
Excellent comic. A condition I know all too well.
Horrible, repetitive one-hit-wonder-bands be damned!
I had a song in my head for the past two days by Amy Grant. I can’t quite remember the lyrics this morning and I’m not going to try. ;)
While at a friend’s house, he introduced me to the Muppet’s “Mahna Mahna” song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8N_tupPBtWQ

Maybe it was that song just before Lobo killed all Czarnians?

Would say the worst was the chorus of MilliVanilli’s Girl You Know it’s True…
I can’t believe you just rickrolled your fanbase, optipess. Not cool :)
